I'm thrilled to introduce myself, I’m Rikki-lee, young mum of 2 Children, 2 dogs and Wife to be. I am a passionate specialist in crafting enchanting balloon garlands and providing exceptional event hire services.

With a keen eye for detail and a heart full of imagination, I've dedicated myself to transforming ordinary spaces into extraordinary experiences. Whether it's a whimsical baby shower, a milestone birthday bash, or a corporate extravaganza, I bring a unique touch that turns moments into memories.

My journey began as I was tirelessly scrolling through Pinterest planning out a beautiful first birthday party for my daughter. It had to amazing! Cake smash, cute location, amazing cake, themed food, adorable baby photos and of course balloons! And with that the Balloon Room and Event Hire was born. Over the years, I've honed my skills, mastering the delicate dance of colours, shapes, and sizes to create stunning balloon garlands that effortlessly elevate any occasion. Each garland is a symphony of balloons, carefully selected to match your theme and vision, infusing joy and vibrancy into every corner.

But I don't stop at balloons – I offer a variety of event rentals that complement your aesthetic. From backdrops in all shapes and sizes to cakes plinths and custom event signage, my event hire services are designed to take the stress out of planning, allowing you to focus on enjoying every moment.

HOW DID I GET HERE?! I cannot tell you how serious I was at the start of the year to grow my business baby in 2024 and with less than 2 months to go I am proud to say I’ve followed through!!! There are SO many incredible balloon artists out there (I am lucky to be in this journey with so many other talented balloon girlies!) but I realised being good at what I do wasn’t enough and I needed to level up if I wanted more. Here are just a few things I did that without a doubt are what helped me get to the point I’m at now: ✨ PUT MYSELF OUT THERE - I sponsored events, I contacted brands I wanted to work with to see if they had a budget for my services (and guess what, they ALL did), I went to networking events, I attended workshops… I did it ALL. ✨ SPENT SOME $$$ - I was in the position at the start of the year to invest some money in my SEO and social media management. This gave me some valuable time back to reinvest into my business. Gaining that time back while also watching my insights improve undoubtably helped me grow and grow. ✨ INNOVATED - I literally created an entire new concept. A FIRST in my neck of the woods. I expanded what I offered creating a second income stream and service to provide. ✨ BELIEVED I HAVE WHAT IT TAKES - running your own show can be lonely and scary AF!!! Imposter syndrome is real and especially when some people love to cut you down when you’re thriving, it can be easy to slip into a negative mindset. But I turned up for myself over and over again, I surrounded myself with uplifting, positive, inclusive and inspirational woman and BOOM I started embodying those things even more than before. What a WEEK it has been - BRB got to go and process it all and take a breath. OCTOBER WAS A RECORD BREAKING MONTH FOR THIS LITTLE BUSINESS. 38 events over 31 days, PLUS moving house! Throw in a (very expensive) van emergency I did not think this would be the month I’d hit a business milestone but it just showed me all my hard work is paying off!!! I still pinch myself that this is my life - I love what I do and it is such a privilege to be part of your special occasions. Can’t wait to smash out the rest of 2024!!! ✨
